In this episode, Brooke & Faren dive into the first chapter and discuss scarcity. Brené Brown dives deep into what it means and how it can link to different behaviors. The Witty & Gritty Podcast is loving this mini series!

What is Scarcity?

Brene talks about how there are three components of scarcity: shame, comparison, & disengagement. Each of us experience the three of these to varying degrees depending on the circumstance, time, and other variables.

Scarcity in one way or another is connected to a fundamental fear. For example, do you feel a since of scarcity with money? Is this connected to maybe you’re feeling like your job is on the line? This is just an example of a way we can easily link scarcity to a fear.

To some degree, we all struggle with scarcity, comparison, & nostalgia. We break this down in the podcast as well as going over the “enough” factor.

What do all of us have in common?

Humans are hardwired for a sense of worthiness, belonging, being loved, and having purpose. No one is exempt from this. Great news! We there is a solution! Jesus!

God loves you. You are worth Him sacrificing His son. He wants you in His family, and once becoming a Christian, your purpose is to love God and further the kingdom (this is REALLY concise, so please ask questions!! We’d love to talk with you!).
