Episode 65, The Enneagram and Relationships

Brooke and Faren dive into a new book study mini series featuring “The Path Between Us” by Suzanne Stabile. This view on the Enneagram is all about relationships with others. In “Episode 65, The Enneagram and Relationships”, we introduce the book and give a refresher on the basics of the Enneagram.

In Stabile’s first Enneagram book, “The Road Back to You”, she discusses how to find your Enneagram number. We’ve got a mini series for that! CLICK HERE to jump to that mini series (episodes 11-17). In the book we’re currently discussing, “The Path Between Us”, we give insight on how the Enneagram numbers can be most effective with each other.

Why the Enneagram

Let it be known that the Witty & Gritty crew loves the Enneagram. The Enneagram is a personality typing system that is motivation based. This means that for every action that is taken, there is a specific drive behind why that choice was made.

With the Enneagram being motivation based and not behavior based, it sets itself apart from other typing systems that can be inaccurate or make you feel pigeon-holed. We all go through peaks and valleys in life; the Enneagram takes that into consideration and accounts for that.

Enneagram Refresher

If you already know the Enneagram and have a 90% narrowed-down idea of what your number is, this is the next mini series for you! If you think you need a refresher, be sure to check out this mini series here (episodes 11-17). Friendly reminder that quizzes are not always accurate. The best way to learn your Enneagram number is to grab your copy of “The Road Back to You” (link at bottom) and dive in.

Our area of expertise is helping others with personal growth through self awareness and relationships. This mini series will certainly help you grow all of your relationships in a positive way. In this part of episode 65, we do a very brief recap of the following:

  • Wing numbers
  • Subtypes
  • Stress/Secure numbers
  • Triads
  • The 9 numbers and a brief description
