  • What are some things that I need to release control of?
  • What are the areas of my life that my control is comsuming me?

  • Are there any hard things that you want to say to God but are afraid to voice?

  • How can you gently disrupt and reshape your desire to be the perfect Christian?

  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
  • Psalm 86:5 “You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.”

  • Can you believe that Christ needs nothing from you in order to love you?
  • Do you ask Jesus for help when you have needs?

  • Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'”

  • What if your greatest value to God isn’t in achieving, but in your quiet rest in him?
  • In what ways do you trust in your own strength more than God?
  • Have you ever asked what can God help me to do?

  • Luke 12:7 “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
  • 1 Peter 2:4 “…chosen by God and precious to him…”

Questions that Enneagram 4s (The Individualist) can ask themselves in order to refocus their attention and growth on their relationship with God:

  • Can you recognize the unique ways that God is conforming you to the image of christ?
  • How might you use artistic expression to connect with God?
  • How can you allow God to create a robust, significant, Christlike identity in you?

  • Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made”
  • 1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

Questions that Enneagram 5s (The Observer) can ask themselves in order to refocus their attention and growth on their relationship with God:

  • Can you enjoy experiencing the presence of God as much as you enjoy studying and learning about God?
  • How can you allow yourself to access your full range of emotions and let God into that?
  • How might you more fully engaged with the body of christ?

Bible Verses for Enneagram 5s:

  • Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
  • Phil 4:13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Questions that Enneagram 6s (The Loyalist) can ask themselves in order to refocus their attention and growth on their relationship with God:

  • Do you believe that God is more committed to you than you are to him?
  • Can you look to God for security other than reassurance and affirmation from others?

Bible Verses for Enneagram 6s:

  • Hebrews 13:5 “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
  • Isaiah 30:21 “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Questions that Enneagram 7s (The Enthusiast) can ask themselves in order to refocus their attention and growth on their relationship with God:

  • Can you be content with where God has you right now without having to move onto the next best thing?
  • Am i willing to acknowledge to God that there is pain in my life?

Bible Verses for Enneagram 7s:

  • Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
  • Psalm 107:9 “for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
