Why did we choose this book? That’s a great question! We’re all about personal growth here at Witty & Gritty, so it only seems appropriate to kick us off with a book about how to grow.
John Maxwell dives into practical and extremely applicable tips on how to improve yourself. We all know we can stand to do better as each day comes along, and he does an excellent job of delivering on high quality strategies.
Ch 1: The Law of Intentionality
Growth Gap Traps
Maxwell gives us 8 negative mindsets that are sure to hinder your growth. We strongly encourage you read through these eight traps and discover your vices. In this episode, we discuss which ones personally affect us and what we are doing to combat them.
Transition to Intentional Growth
Accidental vs Intentional growth is an aspect we can sometimes overlook. It is vital to know which direction you’re wanting to grow and then taking the correct baby steps to get you there. Remember, we’re all growing, but is it in the direction we desire?
Ch 2: The Law of Awareness
Sense of Direction
Know your strengths and weaknesses? Do you have a circle of peers who can lift you up, give you honest feedback, and help motivate you? Community and the ability to accurately self reflect are vital when it comes to personal growth.
