Habits and Identity
The more you think about it, the more you may realize how your habits and identity go hand in hand. What you do becomes who you are, and who are you defines what you do. The question that must be asked is, “Is who you are and what you do align with what you want to be?” This is where we can keep good habits and get rid of bad ones. Start by thinking about your goals, your purpose, and your priorities.
Extend yourself some grace. You may not see the results of instilling good habits in a few days, but stick around so you can reap what you sow. The results will come, trust the process. Remember that no one is an overnight success. Every action is a vote for what type of person you are becoming. We go over extensive examples in episode 103, so be sure to tune in.
At Witty & Gritty we are big on mindset. It’s vital that you pay attention to the dialogue that’s going on inside your hear. Hold up what you hear between your ears and see what the Bible says about it. We cover how to do this in our Get Out of Your Head Mini Series. For better results, use the power of reflection to notice our health, patterns, progress, and trajectory. We highly recommend keeping a journal to track your progress.

- 4th Law: Make it Satisfying
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
Romans 7:15
This verse resonates deeply when it comes to why we do what we do. We’ll say it again for the ones in the back, give yourself grace. As humans, we are naturally flawed, but good thing we’ve got a big God. The Holy Spirit in us as believers can accomplish anything according to His will. Pray about your habits. Ask God about what you need to add/subtract from your life. Trust us, He’ll tell you.
