Praying Over People Pleasing

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.”

Galatians 1:10

God, we know that you are the only one we should be looking to please. Help us focus on you as we walk through life’s pressures to seek approval and impress, anyone but you. Show us places in our hearts that aren’t aligned with you, and redirect our focus back to honoring you. Give us peace knowing that it is you we should seek, serve, and please, even if that makes us uncomfortable in certain situations.

Spend the next minute asking God to show you where you struggle with people pleasing.

Pray to Be Faith Driven

“Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”

Galatians 2:16

God, we are caught in a world of hustle mentality and busyness. Please show us specific areas of our lives where this is a struggle, and is replacing priority with you. Remind us that only you can fulfill us and give us true rest. Help our actions be motivated to glorify you, and not make much of ourselves or our to do lists. Spend the next minute asking God to align your heart to be faith driven.

Pray To Break Free from Old Ways

Galatians 4:8-9

God, we know that we are saved once and for all, and we are no longer in bondage to sin. Please break our bad habits, our old ways, or any barrier that is keeping us in a sin cycle. “Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
